It's hard to believe that 20 years have literally just passed since Subterrania Recordings released 'Fiji' by Atlantis. What better way to celebrate the landmark anniversary than to release the back catalogue for digital streaming and download. Let's do it!

This contains many of the releases on Subterrania, plus a few released on other labels, but ALL were recorded @ Subterrania studios. That lovely, trancey basement below Subterrania Records where I pretty much lived (on bourbons, fig rolls and tea) and breathed during that time.

I hope these tunes bring back some fond memories as they do for me, of a golden age of fun, pure joy and incredibly cool records that were being released all over the world by guys & girls in similar situations to us, who's passion for music creation became their prime purpose in life, driving them to contribute and so wonderfully changing the sonic universe forever.

Every time a box of new records came through that door it was like Christmas. I can't ever remember listening (with tea in hand) to that weeks' shop delivery and not walking away excited, inspired and a touch jealous of what some of the producers of the day were able to craft.

With the changes in the music industry and how music was moving to the digital domain, there was never going to be a sustainable career back then. We worked hard and sacrificed much in order to make it happen, but you know what...? I would do it all again because money was never the driver, passion was and still is. Some things are worth far more than money and this is something you could never put a price on.
